How to Use

For Usucha (thin tea):

  1. Sift 1/2 teaspoon (approximately 1 gram) of DoMatcha Imperial Ceremonial Matcha into a tea bowl.
  2. Add 2-3 ounces of hot water (approximately 175°F/80°C).
  3. Whisk briskly with a bamboo whisk (chasen) in a "W" or "M" motion until a frothy layer forms on top.
  4. Enjoy immediately.

For Koicha (thick tea):

  1. Sift 2 teaspoons (approximately 4 grams) of DoMatcha Imperial Ceremonial Matcha into a tea bowl.
  2. Add 2 ounces of hot water (approximately 175°F/80°C).
  3. Gently knead the matcha and water together with a bamboo whisk (chasen) until a smooth, thick paste forms.
  4. Enjoy slowly.
