Agaricus blazei (Murill) is a medicinal mushroom, indigenous to the Brazilian rainforest, and has been used in traditional medicine for hundreds of years. Agaricus blazei is rich in immune-modulating polysaccharides and beta-glucans. Agaricus blazei has been proven to boost the immune system by strongly activating the macrophages. Scientific studies reveal that beta-glucans can also activate other components of the immune system (B Lymphocytes, natural killer cells, suppressor T-cells).
